Five Easy Tips to Change Reading Time!

We all know that most kids would like to be doing other things in their spare time other than reading. That's great that they are engaging in activities, but some times, it gets too out of hand. Reading is one of the most important things a person will ever learn. So make time for reading. It may start out pretty discouraging, but with these tips, children will actually began to enjoy reading! Lets start with these amazing tips!
1: Engage yourself.
When kids see people who they look up to enjoy reading, chances are they will to!  Show that reading is important to you by actively participating in their reading.
2: Just read, don't ask questions.
It's okay sometimes to ask kids questions when you read books, but don't always do it. Reading time= relaxing time. Often they can't *relax* if after every page or so, they have to keep answering. Just read the books, and don't stress the kids to much. It'll be better for you and the kids to just relax!
3: Voice
Your voice when reading books, will often make memories. Use different voices for all characters, such as Henny Penny and Tom Pickle. Even do this for the narrator parts! This will make reading time all the better!
4: Look at pictures & turn the page
Sometimes we are in a rush to finish a book. My tip: Don't put in reading time at rushed hours, so you can get the hole reading experience. Let them look at the pictures while you are reading, and after. Even of it takes a while. Let the kids turn the pages. It makes them feel better about themselves.
5: Their turn.
Take turns reading. Every so often, let then read a word, sentence, or page. They will feel like they have accomplished something great. And their reading skills will go a lot higher!!

I hope these easy tips help reading time!! Make a special time for reading each day. Go to the library to choose out new books often. And don't forget to repin, comment below, and share as much as you can. Feel free to comment what type of tips or things you would like me to post on my blog!! Thanks!
